VEGAN (TR)EATS! recipe book

Cassandra, my wife, and I do not know anyone who eats better than we do! We want to show animal-product-consumers that there is another way. Often people need some guidance. Who knows, fellow vegetarians might find something of interest here as well. This recipe book covers some basics and also offers a handy assortments of tasty treats. ENJOY!

  1. Thanks for posting this, I'm looking forward to trying out the recipes.

I should tell you though that Fleischmann's unsalted margarine, although it doesn't contain whey, contains vitamin D3 last I checked (a few days ago). Vitamin D3 is not vegan; it is derived from fish or sheep.

Earth Balance Buttery Spread is vegan.

  2. Thank you for the constructive input, Rosemary. OK, I will modify. I will also list Becel's Vegan margarine. It contains vitamin D2, but that is vegan. It is derived from yeast.

  3. Someone told me a handy way to remember which vitamin D is vegan. Vegans eat lower on the food chain, and vitamin D2 (vegan) has a lower number than vitamin D3 (not vegan).
